Marc Slakoff & Associates has diligently served the yachting community for more than three decades and has conducted over 19, 000 surveys in the US and worldwide. The Slakoff family has been involved with marine surveying since 1978 when Gerald Slakoff came to Fort Lauderdale and set new standards within the industry. Marc Slakoff joined Gerald in 1988 and has been a fixture in the Fort Lauderdale yachting community ever since. Marc Slakoff has been owner and operator since 1993.

read moreIn 1988, after working on yachts as crew, I joined my uncle, legendary surveyor Gerald Slakoff, to learn the art of surveying. Gerry would bring me along to assist on surveys of all types, and to look at unusual defects and problems. After working side by side with Gerry, I became an Accredited Marine Surveyor. In 1994 I teamed up with Jerome Cramer and together we took over the reigns from Gerry Slakoff. Since then the firm has performed thousands of surveys worldwide. In 2002, Jerome Cramer passed away and I carried on performing surveys.
