About Us
read moreBedford Child Development Center is a developmentally based child care center. We believe that children learn best through their experiences. We are a play based center and we believe that children's play is a primary vehicle for their growth and development. Play enables children to progress along a developmental sequence of growth. Therefore, a child-initiated, child-directed, teacher supported curriculum is an essential component of our program. We believe a high-quality early learning program promotes the physical, social-emotional and cognitive development of young children while also responding to the needs of the families.
Preschoolers
read moreIn the preschool classrooms, the children learn novel ideas from the experiences and activities provided each day. As the children arrive each morning, they play in all different centers available. Our school day officially begins at 8:30 a.m. We know picking a center for your preschooler is stressful. We aim to make it easy.

Toddlers
read moreToddlers are the discovering type! As toddlers, we learn through our senses and experiences. In our two toddler classrooms, we begin our day with large group time (through music, movement and interactions with our peers) as well as learn literacy and math. The toddlers learn through all of their experiences, such as stacking blocks, sharing with one another, dressing up or cooking in the kitchen center. We learn through the children's interests by daily observations and interactions in the classrooms.
