Shilo Inns is considered the biggest private, independently owned & operated hospitality firm in the Western US. Mark S. Hemstreet, Founder and Owner of Shilo Inns, learned a lot about the hospitality business from his mother and father. He demonstrated his entrepreneurial abilities at the age of 16 as summer director of a tiny motel. He cultivated an early vision of developing the finest independent hotel/motel/resort chain in the Pacific Northwest.
