
Midwest Machines was began by the father son staff of Clair Hill and James Hill, Sr. In 1947 under the name of Midwest Dry Cleaning Supply Company. In 1949, Midwest began making dry cleaning machines. Around 1953 Midwest Dry Cleaning Supply Company became Incorporated. Through the early 1950's Midwest Supply Company exclusively made dry cleaning machines. In 1955, Midwest was the 2nd firm in the US to build washer extractors. In the late fifties, coin-op dry to dry perk machines were manufactured for a several years.
