The harsh Colorado climate demands that pools be built tough. The process here may be different then in other parts of the country. After the soil is prepared and a hole is dug, a strong steel rebar cage is built to precise specifications. This cage is then shot or sprayed with a superior product called Shotcrete, which comes wet, reducing the possibility of dry-pocketing. The walls are 12 inches thick, providing a concrete strength of 7000 PSI. A final hand crafted layer of plaster gives the pool its final smooth sheen. The pool is then left to fill, as the plaster likes to cure under water.
