Ninety one years and counting. The year 2009 marked another milestone for the Armory Automotive Family, a dealership with a success story few can match inside or outside New York's Capital District. As 3 generations of the Armory Automotive staff have led a family of dedicated employees to enhance the buying experience of its family of clients. Here is a timeline of the history of Armory. 1918: Anthony Metzner opens a business on Sherman Street. Metzner's property was close to the Washington Ave Armory so he named his firm Armory Garage.
