Andy graduated ITT Technical school in 1977, all the while working in client service. He started his career servicing IBM mainframe systems through 1984. Andy joined another company and was given the duties to support the newly introduced IBM PC. In 1986, Andy realized that tiny businesses wanted real solutions based on PCs. Andy began PC Solutions and grew the firm to 25 employees. It was recognized by IBJ as one of the Top 10 Computer Companies in Indiana. In 1995, Andy anticipated the impact of the Internet and made the decision to focus his business on support.
