In1956, I married my high school sweetheart, Gladys Mae Hudson and moved to Grants, NM. In 1962, after much hard work, we were able to purchase a Humble Oil Service Station; four years later were able to purchase a 2nd service station. For few years, we operated both, while running a clothing store, grocery store, and a fast food restaurant. Gladys and I raised our eight kids, who all worked in the family businesses while growing up.
